Along with Hostē’s detailed and rigorous standard cleaning practices we’ve added more steps to ensure that high volume surfaces get extra cleaning with antibacterial products. Along with washing their hands before entering, and upon entering the home our team members ALWAYS wear gloves when in the homes and if anyone is showing signs of being unwell, we’ve asked them not to come to work. We also have all our linens and towels professionally laundered where they are sanitized and then wrapped before being transported to the home. We are paying close attention to recommendations put forth by the CDC and implementing additional precautions as they are recommended if necessary. We know that this is a scary time for everyone, and we want you to know that we are here for you. Now about the property: Classic and charming, this handsome Victorian cottage embodies the best of an older, more storied era along with the modern practical appeal of a space designed and furnished with the short-term traveler and guest in mind. Just a few blocks east of Downtown Colorado Springs, and a few hundred feet from the city's largest urban park with loads of recreational opportunities—we think this one is pretty perfect. Take a look at our pictures and ask us any questions. Welcome! The Space: The layout here is simple, functional, practical and attractive. That's the theme with this home. (That and an exceptionally central and convenient location.) There's plenty of parking, too, in the back just off the alley-way/drive-way. Enter through the front door using the electronic code provided at check-in. You'll arrive into a bright, welcoming space. The main-level living room is spacious and comfortable. There's a formal seating area/dining room surrounded by windows and a custom shelf for books built into the wall. The fully functional and practical kitchen is just beyond this space, ready to entertain and for your own culinary creations. Beyond this is a full laundry available for guest use. Two of the home's three bedrooms are upstairs, on the main-level. Both feature queen comfort and quality linens, professionally cleaned and laundered. Attention to detail is paramount for us throughout our home and you'll appreciate the hotel-like atmosphere. The home's bath is clean and well-appointed. There's an additional bedroom downstairs, accessed just past the kitchen, also featuring queen comfort. The outdoor living spaces at this home are notable as well. A deck features a gas grill and great views of Downtown and Pikes Peak. Enjoy some time outside under the Colorado sky as you plan the next day's adventures here. The Neighborhood: Just east of Downtown is a quiet neighborhood in transition and this unique area presents an attractive proposition—timeless sensibilities and design in a convenient and energetic almost-urban location. Restaurants, cafes, craft beer tasting rooms, shopping, venues and nightlife are all just a few blocks away. Memorial Park, featuring plenty of open green spaces (in Summer) and boating and swimming at Prospect Lake, is literally 500 feet away. Other, more well-known Colorado Springs attractions are easily accessible from this neighborhood too—buzz up the Interstate to the US Air Force Academy, or down to the Broadmoor or Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, the base of Pikes Peak and the Airport are all just about 10 minutes away by car. Easy. Practical. Urban. Modern.
