Here is our recently redone vw camper. It is actually a Riviera style which has much more room on top for sleeping extra people. What is included: We can include an ice chest, basic bedding, camp stove and basic cooking equipment. We also have camp chairs, bikes, bike racks, roof racks, surf board etc. If you have any other requests, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Special Considerations: We understand that these vans are nearly 50 years old and sometimes things may break. We just ask that if a visor clip or window handle breaks that our customers let us know so we can make preparations to fix the van before the next renter. The van is a manual transmission and is aircooled so to protect our renters from potential breakdowns we do not allow renters to take the van into the desert areas during summer months. We allow the van to be driven as far as the bay area but require at least 4 or 5 days rental fo such trips. How the rental process works: When you come to checkout the van, we will show you how to use the fold down bed, pop top bunk, table etc. We will also do a test drive together so you can see how to drive the van and to make sure you are able to drive a manual transmission proficiently. After we go through the van, we will check off that the Van's mechanics are in good working order, the interior is clean, and note any body damages. We are able to deliver or pick up the van as far as San Francisco. The rate varies based on fight tickets and driver availability.
