Overview
Escape the ordinary...
This 1950's styled “canned ham" would have been right at home behind my parents' 1958 Ford Fairlane with its whitewall tires, baby moon hubcaps and classic red & white paint.
Inside could have been plucked from the ‘50's as well. Birch paneling and birch cabinetry; checkerboard flooring. The red & white U-shaped dinette, which seats 6, looks like it was lifted from an busy diner; all it is missing is the gum-popping waitress.
But these days, in addition to the two burner stove, there is a refrigerator instead of an icebox; a wet bath instead of a lake or creek; electric instead of gas lighting; and a microwave instead of a cast iron Dutch oven. And yes, there is a TV for that inevitable rainy day.
Like the scene set by a vintage Airstream advertisement, we hope you embrace the experience the Little Red Campette enables. That you break out your Dutch oven for a classic camp meal and the microwave is just used to warm up leftovers. That you enjoy the view and the company around a campfire rather than view the TV inside.
We have 3 other travel trailers that embrace this same spirit. Although each is packed chock full of modern conveniences and luxuries, they reflect that it’s about the adventures, with family and friends, and not the stuff inside the camper, that really matters.
The Little Red Campette is listed on multiple sites and is subject to prior booking.
