Kamparoo! Cub

This Kamparoo! Cub is a wonderful, simple tow behind camper that makes car camping a breeze. Why so awesome? The answer lies primarily in its relative lightweight and small footprint. Any small car (4cyl.) can tow this unit anywhere the car can go (2" ball). Designed in Australia, it's well built for more rugged terrain. With a more high clearance 4WD vehicle, you won't have trouble sneaking this small rig into more unsuspecting places. Take 'er easy though, she's our baby. Our Kamparoo! is in wonderful shape and has been well taken care of over the years. The canvas top is regularly maintained and is fully waterproof. We include added essentials in the lockable storage bin like tarps, a pop up screen tent, leveling blocks, and other amenities to make the outdoor experience as comfortable as it needs to be. When folded and prepared for the road, the Kamparoo! has a roof rack which can be loaded with up to 500lbs of extra gear. Folding table, bikes, strollers, coolers, extra storage bins, water jugs, folding chairs, you name it. When towing, it's easy to forget that the Kamparoo! is behind you due to it's size, a bonus if you're fuel conscious. Pull into your destination and you'll have a place to sleep ready in about a five minutes. Honestly, check out the videos on YouTube. It's also very easy to unhook and roll around with human power for micro-siting in uneven terrain. We choose this option when Feng Shui calls and camp needs to organized properly. Otherwise, for simplicity just leave it attached to the car. When open and ready for camp, the super comfortable and Full Size memory foam mattress with washable cover (55" x 76") easily fits two large (6'+) adults for a comfy off ground slumber. The floor area is tall enough (7') and wide enough to stand up and stretch, change clothes, and even setup a couple chairs and small table for relaxing if it's too nasty to be hanging outside. Convert the floor into a sleeping area for two kids. Or, there's plenty of room to setup a Pack-n-Play if you have a baby! When all the windows are closed, it is very dark inside and blocks the sun very well. Each window has three layers; outer canvas, middle screen, inside clear plastic. This allows for canvas to be rolled up, allowing light in, but keeps water out if inside plastic is up. Or roll down clear plastic on all windows for very good air flow. For extended stays (5+ days) in one campsite, we spend a little extra time setting up our camp area with tarps (included) and cover the Kamparoo and camp area for additional protection from sun, wind, and rain. The Kamparoo brings car camping to the next level, allowing off the ground comfort without the gas guzzling side effects.
