Super RV on Ford E450 gasoline chassis. Before we vacationed in it for 8 months we put on a new roof, new awning, new water pump, new engine battery, and resealed all the windows. Replaced all the interior light bulbs with LED lights.
Traveled from Virginia to Maine and back to Virginia then out to El Paso, Texas and up to South Dakota. We decided to stay in South Dakota. Cruise control works great. Pick-up and return of this RV will be in Vermillion, SD.
The 40 gallon fresh water holding tank allows you to use the restroom and kitchen sink while on the road. The refrigerator and freezer run on propane or electric and work while driving. The inside shower has a fold out curtain rod for additional space inside the shower.
This is a 30 amp RV and comes with a surge protector for hooking up to campsite electrical posts. The onboard generator fires right up and provides ample power for the RV if you are staying where there are no 30 amp electrical connections. Please note that only 1 hour of generator use per day is included in the rental. Any hours and/or portion of an hour over that use incur an additional $3/hour charge. There are electrical outlets outside, near the side entry door, if you want power outside to plug in the awning lights or other items.
Roof vents have covers over them. A/C works great if the open vents and screened windows are not sufficient for you.
We've used our RV in the winter months. The inside heater and thermostat work well. We keep the inside temperature set at about 70 degrees. If it's going to be cold where you're going we can include some electric heaters. There are heat/cool reflective covers for the roof vents and most of the RV windows as well. The trick for cold weather RV'ing is to make sure things don't freeze; it can be done and we've done it. See list of items included if you think you'll be staying somewhere with freezing temperatures.
No smoking or vaping inside the RV or within 25 feet. There is a very expensive fee for smoking or vaping inside or near the RV.
Well behaved pets welcome.
We took the TVs out of the RV because we didn't want to get stuck watching TV instead of enjoying everything else. Bring your laptop or other device if you want to watch TV; there is a radio/DVD player mounted under one of the cabinets in the living area. The radio works well; the DVD player sometimes freezes during movies.
Two hand-held walkie-talkies included so you can entertain your campground neighbors when you back into your campsite.
Sewer and water hoses included. In-line water filter for water hose included.
Sting of lights and an extension cord for outside lighting in awning area included.
Chock blocks for the tires and leveling blocks included.
Small hand-held level included to help you park level.
Small vacuum with vacuum bags included to vacuum the carpet as needed.
A two bike bike rack is available if needed. It will be locked in the rear towing hitch and you will need to provide your own securing cable and lock if you want to use the bike rack.
Heated water hose available if you're camping in the cold.
Plywood skirting available if you're camping in the cold. (This takes up space inside the RV while traveling.)
Other items covered during pick-up and return walk-thru inspections.
Please plan on taking about two hours at pick-up and one hour at return to go over everything.
We require a $1,500 security deposit which is held for additional generator hours, excess mileage, and/or to cover costs in the event of a claim for damages. All damages or items that are not normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of the renter.
You must be, or have on the booking request, an Outdoorsy.com verified driver before the booking will be accepted.
